Life is good when you ski and ride in the Northwest Rockies. Spokane and Coeur d’Alene are surrounded by four unique alpine resorts inside of 200 square miles, averaging over 300 inches of snowfall a season. Each unique ski area offers a rich variety of skiing and riding, spectacular scenery, and good old-fashioned, down-to-earth hospitality.

Chewelah, WA

Known as the region’s favorite family resort, 49°North has the largest lift accessible acreage in Eastern Washington. With world-class grooming, desert dried powder, and legendary glades, this is a place skiers and riders of all ages can call home.

Special Notes

OPEN 7 Days a Week: Sunrise and Central Basins are 95% open! Come up and enjoy top to bottom turns in two basins, with four lifts, two summit lifts, and hundreds of acres of open terrain! Coverage is good for early season due to the hard work from our snowmaking team, but low snow conditions exist so please ski and ride with care. Payday will close at 12:00 today for scheduled maintenance.

Just 28 miles from downtown Spokane. Offers affordable skiing & snowboarding with 5 double chairs over 1,425 acres and 2,000 vertical feet, slopes for all ability levels, a mile-long terrain park, and the best-undiscovered tree skiing in the area.

Yahoo! Winter is here and its huge! It’s been snowing since early yesterday and it has DUMPED over 12 inches of fresh snow across the mountain! Winds blew our totals into huge drifts, so snow stake not accurate! You have been waiting for this, and now the mountain is coming alive with full winter operations 4 lifts spinning today include VISTA CRUISER! More terrain is opening and night skiing is open on Friday! Today enjoy fresh powder and velvety soft machine groomed corduroy! It’s going to be a bit breezy, maybe a few sun breaks in the clouds, and an additional 1-3" new snow possible!

Kellogg, ID

Silver offers two mountains, 73 trails, 1,600 acres of terrain, 2,200 vertical and more than 300 inches of snow annually. The diverse terrain spreads snow riders across the two mountains so you spend more time riding and less time in lift lines.

Happy POWDER Wednesday! We woke up to 13 inches of fresh powder overnight totaling 16 inches in the last 24 hours and it is still snowing. If there was ever a reason to take a ski day this is it. So grab your gear bring a friend and come experience an epic day on the slopes.
We have 49 open trails today and our fantastic grooming team has groomed 13 runs for those looking for smooth riding.
We have chairs 1, 2, 3, 4 and the magic carpet running with tubing. So jump on the gondola at 8:15 AM and we will be riding or sliding until 3:30 PM.
