Fifth grade is the perfect time to discover the thrill of skiing and snowboarding. The Ski the Northwest Rockies 5th Grade Ski & Ride Passport gives 5th graders the opportunity to experience some of the best skiing and riding in the Inland Northwest — FREE!
With one passport, your 5th grader can enjoy free days at participating Ski NW Rockies mountains throughout the winter season. That means more mountain days, more family adventures, and more chances to fall in love with skiing and snowboarding.

1. Purchase Online
Purchase your 5th Grade Ski & Ride Passport online and receive proof of purchase to use throughout the season.
2. Save Your Proof of Purchase
Keep your proof of purchase handy on your phone or bring a printed copy when visiting participating resorts.
3. Hit the Slopes!
Bring your proof of purchase and a parent or guardian to any participating resort, and your 5th grader can ski or ride FREE. Each Ski NW Rockies resort has its own redemption process, so be sure to contact the resort before your visit for booking requirements, reservations, and any additional details.

- 3 FREE Lift Tickets for the 5th Grader
- FREE group lesson on 1 of the 3 visits (based on availability, *reservation required)
- 50% off a private lesson on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd visit (*reservations recommended)
- Complimentary helmet rental included with all lessons
Rentals: 50 % OFF regular rental rates
Location: Just 1 hour north of Spokane, in Chewelah, WA
*Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Availability may be limited.
Restrictions: Not valid for YSL Races, School Programs, or with any other discounts.

Head up the metal steps to the Rental Shop Deck entrance after obtaining your Lift Ticket & present your paperwork to the Snowsports School Desk. Paperwork should include your Name, Address, Parent/Guardian Email & School.

Pick Lift Tickets up at any Ticket Window by showing your Passport Paperwork.

a. We do not accept any mail in applications and have no pick up/drop off locations so you must apply for your child's passport online.
Your passport will automatically generate once your payment has been successfully submitted and cleared. You must download the PDF copy of your passport from the application confirmation page.
You will not receive your passport by mail or email.
If you are not directed to an application success page with an option to download your passport PDF, please email [email protected] and let us know so we can troubleshoot the issue for you.
Pull up your passport on your mobile device, or print a copy, and take it with you to the ski area.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the passport to be valid. Present your passport at the designated ticket window. Do not turn in your passport. The ski area will not collect it. Your passport is yours to keep for the duration of the season.
The mountain will track passport usage using the unique number printed on your passport.
Helpful tip: If you plan to show your passport on your mobile device, save the PDF directly to your device before heading to the mountain. This way, you will not need to rely on Wi-Fi or cell service to access it.
Payment is completed online during the passport application process. We do not accept payments over the phone, as the application process is completely online.
No. You do not need to create an account to complete your passport purchase. Simply have your payment information ready when completing the online application.

Absolutely! Any 5th grade student is welcome to use the passport if they plan to ski or snowboard at one of the participating resorts.

Each passport has a unique tracking number listed at the top. The participating mountains electronically track your child's visits using this number each time the passport is presented at the ski area.
No. There is only a one-time $30.27 processing fee, which includes the $29.00 passport fee and a $1.27 convenience fee, due at the time of application.
5th Grade Ski Passports are valid for three full-day lift tickets at each participating resort.
Yes. Blackout dates vary by mountain. Please review the restrictions for each participating resort.
