49° North is known as one of the Northwest’s hidden gems, offering uncrowded slopes, extensive tree skiing, and a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. The resort features three distinct basins, two mountain peaks, a full-service ski and snowboard school, a Nordic Center with groomed cross-country trails, multiple terrain parks, and Washington’s longest high-speed chairlift. Guests also enjoy tubing, childcare, on-mountain dining, and year-round outdoor recreation.

Lookout Pass operates the longest running FREE Ski School for kids in the country. Program operates on 8 weekend dates with a separate morning and afternoon offering by skill level. Program provides a FREE 1.5 hour Lift Ticket while the child (ages 7-17) is in their lesson, and a FREE 1.5 hour Lesson. We certainly want the kids and parents to commit to coming every weekend so that their skill stays on par with the other students in the class. We certainly encourage families to buy our affordable Season Passes & Season Long Rentals so they can enjoy more time before and after their lessons on snow. In the Summer Lookout operates the Hiawatha Scenic Bike Trail, featuring a 15 mile gently downhill bicycle trail that has you pedaling through 10 dark tunnels and 7 sky-high old RR Trestles. Anticipated opening: December 5, 2026, weather permitting—with the goal of opening earlier if conditions allow. Starting December 16, Mt. Spokane operates seven days a week, with extended 9am–9pm hours Wednesday–Saturday for the region’s only 12-hour ski days. Located just 28 miles from downtown Spokane, it’s the shortest drive from the city to a full-service ski area. And there’s a lot here: 1,704 acres, 53 runs, 2,000 vertical feet and six lifts, with terrain ranging from gentle beginner slopes and groomers to powder-filled trees and challenging expert runs. Sixteen runs are lit for night skiing, making Mt. Spokane an easy choice for a full day—or just a few laps after work.
Planning to learn or improve? Book Ski & Ride School early. Multiweek programs, Holiday Camps and Club Shred offer a fun way to build skills over time, while group, private and semi-private lessons are available for kids and adults from beginner through advanced. Our Mountain Adventure Club and specialized clinics give more experienced skiers and riders opportunities to push their skills, too. Programs have limited space and popular sessions fill quickly.
Terrain park riders have plenty to explore, with progression terrain plus intermediate and expert jumps, rails, hips and other features. Half Hitch is serviced by the dedicated Handle Tow for quick laps, while Lamonga offers bigger features for experienced riders. Whether you’re brand new to the park or looking for your next challenge, there’s room to progress.

Get ready for nonstop fun at Silver Mountain’s tubing hill! Our magic carpet lift whisks you and your tube effortlessly back to the top so you can keep the fun going run after run. With four lanes at 640’ long, there’s excitement for the whole family. A ticket for America’s longest gondola is included in the reservation.
Idaho’s largest indoor waterpark is located right at the base of the mountain. Always a balmy 84 degrees, Silver Rapids is the place to be after a day on the slopes. With 7 waterslides, a huge kids area, and a FlowRider surf simulator, your family will be entertained for hours and make memories that last a lifetime.
