Re-enactment of Iron Rider Buffalo Soldiers

June 6-7 - RE-ENACTMENT OF IRON RIDER BUFFALO SOLDIERS 1,900 MILE CROSS CONTINENT RIDE OF 1897:  
That weekend the Route of the Hiawatha Hall of Fame Trail along with the town of Wallace and the Wallace Chamber, and others will be hosting a contingent of Iron Rider Buffalo Soldiers Re-Enactors on a special commemorative ride of the Hiawatha. The ride will pay tribute to the men of the 25th Infantry Regiment who pedaled 1,900 miles from Ft. Missoula, Mt. to St. Louis, Mo. The ride began in June of 1897 and ended six weeks later in St. Louis. It was an incredible feat of strength and endurance.  More...
